I Grew Up In Detroit- started as a great Facebook Group. We laughed and remembered the old days of Detroit. Unfortunately, the original group was closed down by Facebook in 2014. This is the 2nd Edition of I Grew Up In Detroit. My name is Mai-Lan Wright-King. I created I Grew Up in Detroit, MI on August 20, 2014 in Facebook Groups Community. We currently have grown to over 60,482 members.

CO-Owner- Marc King, my husband is the reason this blog was created. He is responsible for encouraging this passionate endeavour to transition to a formal platform. Taking our Passion and Love for the City of Detroit and To Help its current residents, future residents, and maybe the families and friends that left to come back home....and expand the City of Detroit opportunities.
